Through a generous donation from one of our classmates, the Class of 1969 Scholarship Fund was established in 2010 by Kathleen (Paini) Clemence under the auspices of the Terra Linda Scholarship Foundation.

This "class" scholarship was the first of its kind at Terra Linda High School (way to go Class of '69!). The Class of 1969 Scholarship Award will be presented annually at the Terra Linda High School Awards Night. The first scholarship was awarded in 2010 in the amount of $600. Subsequent scholarships were presented for $750, and since 2016, our scholarship award has been $1,000.

The total raised for our Class Scholarship Fund thus far is $17,288! However, $12,350 of that amount has already been awarded (as of May 24, 2023) leaving a current balance in the fund of $4,938. To ensure our Class of 1969 Scholarship Fund remains self-funded, donations (large or small) are always welcome.

You can safely and securely donate to our fund (in any amount) right now through PayPal! Simply 'click' on the 'Donate' button below and you'll be taken to the safe and secure donation page on the PayPal website payment platform where you can choose to donate any amount that works for you with the debit/credit card or PayPal account of your choice.

The Class of 1969 Scholarship Fund

Growing up in the Sixties was an exciting time for members of the Terra Linda High School Class of 1969.

Young people across America wanted change, Class of 1969 members included. During their Terra Linda High School days, through interest and involvement, many class members affected positive changes. Now, as activists, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, inventors, lawyers, medical professionals, and such, Class of 1969 members continue to make an impact.

Consequently, the class members would like to positively influence the life of a current Terra Linda High School agent of change with the Class of 1969 Scholarship Award. In doing so, the Class of 1969 also honors the Terra Linda High School teachers, counselors, coaches, and staff members who provided such great inspiration to us over the years.

The recipient of the Class of 1969 Scholarship Award must have, as a leader, demonstrated bold, innovative, spirited, and significant involvement in one or more Terra Linda High School activities, whereby affecting a positive change in a school program, organization, and/or class, while maintaining high academic achievement.

As the scholarship is to be used to defray expenses related directly to college, this is a need-based scholarship that will be granted to the student who demonstrates the characteristics of the Class of 1969 as outlined above.
